Marriage is honorable among all. So why the hallabaloo about same sex marriage? The Bible says marriage is honorable among all. So what is the big deal? The big deal is that the definition of marriage according to the Bible is one man and one woman. That is why it's become a big deal.
But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. -Mark 10:6
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; -Mark 10:7
And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. -Mark 10:8
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. -Mark 10:9
Those who practiced same sex marriage, also called sodomy, who lived in Sodom and Gomorrah were judged by God for their life-style. He rained fire and brimstone down upon them.
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; -2 Peter 2:6
And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: -2 Peter 2:7
(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) -2 Peter 2:8
Fornicators and adulterers are mentioned. Here are some meanings of those words from Strongs Concordance.
Fornicators
1) a man who prostitutes his body to another's lust for hire
2) a male prostitute
3) a man who indulges in unlawful sexual intercourse, a fornicator
Adulterers
1) an adulterer
2) metaph. one who is faithless toward God, ungodly
God will judge these who violate the marriage bed. That is sobering news. We all need to take heed. I hope anyone who reads this will realize I am not spouting my own opinion. I am only repeating what the Bible teaches. So those who take issue with this are taking issue with God's word on the matter and with God Himself, not me.
