Marsha's Musings: What We Once Were (Titus 3:3 NKJV)

For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. (Titus 3:3 NKJV)

In light of what this verse says, we are to be different and do the things commanded in the previous two verses quoted below.

Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. (Titus 3:1, 2 NKJV)

In other words, we are to be different and we are to remember what we once were and treat others with mercy. How am I living this out in my life?  How can I live it out?

Is it hateful to speak the truth about those religious groups who depart from the truth of the Bible?  Any time you do this you will risk rejection and an effort to shut you up.  The key is to stick to the Bible and keep comparing their scriptures and what they say to the Bible and speak the truth in love. They will hate us but it is ultimately God they are hating.
Remember, we once hated and rejected Him too.
