Marsha's Musings: Dare to Be Different! (Titus 3:1, 2 NKJV)

HRemind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. (Titus 3:1, 2 NKJV)

Contrast what this says a Christian should do and be to what followers of some other religions do and are.

The problem is that they reinterpret what is said here.  Being subject to rulers and authorities means only their religious leaders.  Obey means obey what their corrupt leaders and religious books command. A good work to them is doing whatever it takes to make converts to their religion and for some anything goes, even threat of death. Speak evil of no one, to them if you point out where their religion is in error according to the Bible, then you are speaking evil of them---hate speech! There is no room for love and truth in the same sentence.  Being peaceable means to them that you don't disagree with them in any way.  Being gentle, well that's where some of them fall apart. Gentleness is not in the vocabulary.  Showing humility is not part of their religion either.

We as Christians are commanded to be different in what we do.  How am I doing?
