Hebrews 12:1 For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.
Who thinks discipline and chastisment is pleasant? I bet know one raises their hand.
The Lord uses difficulties and trials in our lives to discipline us and grow us up spiritually.
There are those who believe that a life free of difficulties and trials where everything is a bed of roses means that God is blessing them. They also believe if their lives have trials and difficulties that it's because of a lack of faith.
Actually, if God is does not discipline you , then maybe you ought to take stock and see if you really are one of God's children. It says He disciplines EVERY son that He receives.
If you are a Christian never allow anyone to tell you that you have difficulties in your life because you lack faith. Some of God's most faithful servants who were giants of the faith had difficulties that didn't go away. The Apostle Paul was one of them.
