Devotional: "Pride, Sir", said the Robot

"Pride, Sir", said the Robot

By Marsha Iddings

Proverbs 29:23  A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

''I wonder what makes us build inefficiently- shaped human robots instead of nice stream lined machines?"

''Pride., sir," said the robot." - Terry Prachet -The Dark Side of the Sun

I found this quote written across a wall  in the Science Fiction Museum in Seattle,WA. I found it amusing. It seems there is an element of truth there. Man in his pride fashions human shaped robots to do work that man is too lazy to do him self or too stingy to pay someone else to do.

God created man to be an efficient reflection of His image.  The human body is a complex organism that only an infinite God could create. Man's feeble attempts to copy this design will always fail and bring him low.  Only humility before God will bring true honor.
