By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? There is much one can add to this. It's pretty straight forward. How easy it is to see a need and turn our eye the other way. According to this we supposed to "walk the talk". As James says, "What good is it to say we have faith if we do not show it in the things we do?
