Marsha's Musings: Not Too Immoral to for God to Save (Hebrews 11:30, 31 NKJV)

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days. By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. (Hebrews 11:30, 31 NKJV)

The Children of Israel were promised by God that the walls of Jericho would fall after they marched around them 7 days.  Faith is just believing what God said is true. They had faith in God's word and obeyed by marching around the city 7 days.

Rahab believed what the spies told her would happen to Jericho.  She believed God had told them what woud happen to the city in 7 days. If you think about it in human terms, it seems silly that an army would take a city simply by marching around it for 7 days.  Who would believe that the walls would fall down by doing that? But Rahab apparently believed and she was saved.  I bet she had a radical change in lifestyle choices after that.   It's encouraging to see that God can save the mostimmoral  people and use them in spite of who they once were.  Rahab is part of the linage of Jesus.
