It says "all Scripture", which tells me it is all inclusive. There are those who would like to pick it apart and say this or that is not inspired by God. We do need to be careful with all the different translations that are out. We need to be sure we are using a translation that was faithfully translated from the orginals. Paraphrases do not cut it. Here is a fairly balanced article on what Bible translations are closest to the original languages. http://www.compassdistributors.ca/topics/compare.htm
So, what is all Scripture good for? in verse 15, yesterday, we saw that it will make one wise for Salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. That is the most important purpose of Scripture. Further, here we learn that it teaches (doctrine), it reproves, it corrects, and it instructs in righteousness, so that we can be equipped for every good work.
If this is the purpose of Scripture in the Christian's life, why do we so often neglect it? When I neglect reading and studying Scripture, I neglect the very foundation of my faith. How can the Holy Spirit guide and direct me if I do not know what God says in His word?
