Marsha's Musings: He Remains Faithful

The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself. (2 Timothy 2:11-13 ESV)

Those who are in Christ when they physically die will live with Christ in eternity.

If we endure in our faith, we will reign with Him.  The cool thing about this is that if God saves someone, He will enable them to endure.  So it's not " if" as if it is all dependent on us to endure. It's more like since we endure, we will also reign with Him.

If we deny Him, He will deny us.  Is it possible that one who is truly saved could deny The Lord? I guess Peter denied The Lord three times. But He also repented.  What does this tell us?  I'm not sure. I need to think on this a bit.

If we are faithless He remains faithful.  What comfort this is!
