Marsha's Musings: Guard the Truth!!! (I Timothy 6:20, 21 NKJV)

O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge— by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen. (I Timothy 6:20, 21 NKJV)

Paul urges Timothy to guard the truth of God. He tells him to avoid all those things that were mentioned in earlier verses in this book that tend to split churches, but he just sums it up as profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge. 

It would be good to go back over the book and write down all that fits under these categories and then opposite it, write down all that we SHOULD BE DOING instead. Maybe I will do that in my next entry.
