Marsha's Musings: Yard Work/Prayer

This has been good day.  The weather was cool so I was able to work on my rose bed some more.  It's good for me to be on my knees. I find I talk to God when I'm on my knees digging in the dirt,

Burned some weeds this afternoon and then did a bunch of photo uploads for the homeschool yearbook.

Oh and cleaned up the kitchen a bit too.

Went out to Starbucks with Rick this evening.

The kids have been gone all day to Silverwood.

My Quiet Time:

Epaphras , who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis. (Colossians 4:12, 13 KJV)

Epaphras is a good example for us to follow. Paul says he was always laboring in prayer for the Colossians.  Can that be said for me? Do I labour in prayer for my fellow believers?  I dare say that most of us might be lucky to put in a minute or two of prayer and then we are off on our day. This is convicting.

My friend Rose told me about her young son. He is in grade school and she walked into his room the other day to find him on his knees. He said, "Mom, don't come in right now. I'm praying!" This is an encouragement and conviction for me!
