Marsha's Musings: On My Knees/How do I measure up?

I've been spending a lot of time on my knees in the rose bed, digging out grass and weeds that do not belong there.

Isn't this much like how our Christian life should be?  Shouldn't we be spending time on our knees pulling out the weeds of attitudes and actions that are not pleasing to the Lord?

When I first started this project in the rose bed, I kind of dreaded going out each day to work on this.  But as time has gone, I'm beginning to enjoy the time because it gives me time to talk to God about things.

Daily Quiet Time

All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord: Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts; (Colossians 4:7, 8 KJV)

Paul called Tychicus a beloved brother and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord.  Paul trusted him to tell the Colossians all about how Paul was doing and he was to bring a report back to Paul of how they were doing.

Can I be called a beloved sister in the Lord by anyone?
Can I be called a faithful minister in the Lord by anyone?
Can I be called a fellowservant in the Lord by anyone?

Is there anything in my life that needs to be eliminated so that I can be considered these things?  What would disqualifiy me from these?
