It doesn't matter how slow I go, just so long as I don't give up!

Wow! December 20 and my last post was on the 14th.  Time's a flyin' these days.  I spend so much time running from one place to the other, trying to keep up with Sarah's work schedule and Nathaniel's once a week volunteer schedule that I barely have had time to get everything together for the holidays.

I've been keeping up with daily Bible reading, but sadly, not with blogging my thoughts about what I am learning and what God has been teaching me. Nor have I been writing devotionals either.  The time just hasn't been there for me.

By the time I get to evening, all I want to do is sit down and kick my feet up and play some Angry Birds to unwind. Yes, I said Angry Birds.

Something I am excited about is reading through the Bible in chronological order of the events that are recorded in it.  I have searched for a plan that is not dated because I know I can't keep up with a dated plan and will become discouraged and quit.

Well, my search was not fruitless. I found a plan that is not dated. It goes by Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 etc.  I downloaded the pdf onto my Kindle so that I can read the scripture in order, and highlight the references that I have completed. This way I can go at my own pace and not lose my place.  If it takes me three days to read one day's worth of reading, so be it.  It doesn't matter how slow I go, just so long as I don't give up!

Since this plan is not dated, I can start right now instead of waiting until the New Year to get started.  I like that.

Would you like to join me in reading through the Bible in chronological order too?  I'd love to have you join me in this!  Click the link above for the pdf file that has the plan and let's get started!

Disclaimer: I find it interesting that the author of this Bible reading plan discourages against using a Bible with study notes because they are often biased according to who put the study notes out, yet, he goes on to add numerous study notes to his Bible reading plan.  Since I have not reviewed this author's study notes, I can not vouch for their doctrinal integrity.  I recommend doing the Bible reading, meditating on it and recording your own notes and thoughts before you read the author's notes so his opinions do not color your thinking as you read.
