At church today our pastor said that if we are always beating ourselves up because we don't love Jesus enough or as we ought, it becomes a self absorbed, self centered thing.
He said that if we focus instead of how much God loves us we will begin to love Him more as an outgrowth of focusing on Him instead of on our own shortcomings in loving Him.
