1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,
Some teach that we must have someone else to mediate between us and God. So there men set up that the people are to come to to confess their sins. This makes Jesus unnecessary.
