1Timothy 5:19 Do not receive an accusation against an elder except from two or three witnesses.
A lot of church conflict and trouble could be avoided if this simple rule were followed. However, this doesn't mean that a person who is upset with the pastor or elder should go around gossiping and trying to garner up support for their position against the pastor or elder.
