My neck/shoulder muscles feel like they are tied up in knots. Using the Shiatsu massage pillow with infrared heat, but it is almost too painful to have those little balls rolling over the knots.
The only thing I can think of that has set me off like this was carrying my shoulder bag purse around for too long. I have been having some minor pain issues since I started carrying that purse because I have a tendency to put too much in it.
I have now switched to a little bag that is half that size or less and does not have a shoulder strap so I can not be tempted to carry it over my shoulder.
I'm working on some stretching exercises my PT gave me some time ago. Hoping to conquer this pain by myself so I don't have to spend the money to go get help.
I'm also upping my daily dose of Curcumin. It is a natural anti-inflammatory that I take three times a day under normal circumstances (normal for me), but when I am flaring, I take more.
I noticed a marked reduction in pain for a while this afternoon after taking it at breakfast and lunch. But it is now close to supper time and I am feeling the need for more. It is important that I eat with it because if I don't it makes me sick to my stomach. Other than that there are no side effects and it is completely safe from what I have read. It even has anti-cancer properties. I'd rather take this than NSAIDS that can cause other problems and side effects.
