2Co 11:3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it!
We need to carefully compare any teaching we hear about Jesus, against what the Bible has to say. If someone comes teaching anything about Him that does not match up with the Bible, then it is another Jesus and another gospel that they preach. The Bible must be our rule in all things concerning who Jesus is, who God the Father is and who the Holy Spirit is, otherwise, we have all sorts of people coming along with "new and different revelations" or books about who His is. God's written revelation is sufficient for what we need to know.
