Once again in my Bible reading, I am awed by how powerful God is.
Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
God made the heavens. He made the earth and He forms the spirit of man within him. This last bit is really breath-taking. If God is the one who puts the spirit of man within him, then this means that God is intimately acquainted with each person He puts on earth.
This explains why Jesus, when He was on earth, knew what was in the heart of man and knew his thoughts and what his actions would be. He is God the Son.
Matthew 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
John 6:64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
Luke 6:8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.
John 2:24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
John 2:25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.
John 13:11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
