Iontophoresis

The article above explains a treatment that my Physical Therapist is trying out on me right now. I had this done a couple years ago when I had persistent tendonitis in both arms. Back then it didn't seem to make much difference, but both arms were affected and so neither arm was able to be rested. This time only one arm is affected, so I'm able to rest it better. After one treatment, as of this writing (2/19) I feel a little improvement.

(2/22) I had the second Iontophoresis treatment at therapy this afternoon. Unfortunately, when the electrode patch was removed, I had blisters where the current had been entering my arm. My therapist, whose name is Saker, told me it is a reaction to the electrical current. He said that the blisters might get worse before they get better, however, they are all gone now and never got worse. He said that Thursday when I come back, he will tweak the amount of electrical current, however, it may mean having to sit for longer than 25 minutes for the full treatment dose of medication to be administered. I hope and pray that I do not react next time at the lower current level since this seems to be helping.
