Friends Change & Move On; God Remains Constant

I've been thinking about all the friends that I have "lost" due to either them moving on or me moving on. It's discouraging to have a friendship with someone whom you enjoy visiting with and swapping stories with or whom you see at church each week and suddenly they are gone.

It's easier if they are good at communicating and keep in touch, but if they are not, it is almost like they disappeared off the radar of life and a period of grieving takes place.

I am comforted at these times with the fact that my God never changes, never moves away, is as close as His Word and my prayer and that He will always love me no matter what.

Proverbs 18:24 ¶ A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

I believe the friend that sticks closer than a brother is Christ. He is always there no matter what. He is always constant, never changing.
