I am so thankful that the Lord is gracious, full of compassion, slow to anger and of great mercy! Where would any of us be right now if He wasn't? How long will He be slow to anger? When will His patience run out? No one knows. This is motivation to want to please Him in all that I do and to warn those who need His continued mercy.
Ps 145:18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
Here is the answer to avoiding God's anger and enjoying His continued mercy. We must call upon him in truth. What is truth? It's found in the Bible, God's Word to us. We must read it and become familiar with it so we know the truth and can call upon Him in truth.
I'm so thankful for God's Word. So thankful to be able to read and know His truth. So thankful for His compassion toward me, and His mercy!
