Day 8 Pinehurst, North Carolina!

We woke up to 1 degree temps this morning in Crossville, TN.

Sarah wanted to explore the world's largest treehouse before leaving Crossville.  We found it and she checked it out.  It is pretty creepy she said, so she didn't spend much time there.  It's abandoned by order of the fire dept.  If you Google "The Minister's Treehouse" you can find pictures and the history of it.

So we crossed the Smokey Mountains today.  It had snowed at some point and there was frost in many places on the road, but we had no problems at all.  God has been so merciful to us on this trip.  It's amazing that we were able to drive clear across the country in the middle of winter have dry roads the entire trip.  We did not drive in any rain or snow.  We did have nasty fog the first night, but that was it.  I doubt we could pull this off again and have such perfect driving conditions.  Thank you to all who prayed for us this last eight days.  Your prayers were much appreciated and felt.

So here we are in Pinehurst tonight!  Sarah's condo is a cute little place on the second floor.  Fully furnished with a view of the golf course out her back patio as well as a small stand of pine trees spaced perfectly for her hammock.  All for $750 a month.  She has a six month lease.  Perfect.  God has provided for her.

We are going to unpack the car tomorrow. What is one more day of having the stuff in the car?  We are too tired to mess with it tonight.  Besides, we'd rather do it in the daylight.

We went to Walmart and picked up some groceries.  Came back to her condo and ate.  Now we are just relaxing and taking it easy this evening.  Sigh.

Oh my goodness!  You should see the homes in this town!  This is a town for the rich!  The homes are gorgeous!  Golf and Country Clubs are abundant as are Equestrian Communities (that's what they call them).  Golf courses are everywhere and there are at least two horse racing tracks here.  One of them is right across the street from where Sarah's condo is.

I don't have much more to say tonight as I am a bit tired and since I don't have WiFi, I'm using my data. So I will sign off here.
