Alien Encounters

This was a creepy little place literally out in the middle of nowhere on the Extraterrestrial Highway in Nevada in the neighborhood of Area 51.  It's 48 miles to the nearest services of any kind. This is literally the only thing out here.

We stopped to visit the gift shop. Walked in and found we were in a diner with at least 8 creepy, rough looking men. The minute we walked in all of them stopped eating and stared at us like we were aliens 👽.

The woman behind the counter hollered, "Welcome! Have a seat. I'll be right with you!"

I said, "We didn't come to eat. We are trying to find the gift shop."

With a sweep of her hand she said, "It's all around you!"

Looking around, we saw stuff for sale all along the walls on the perimeter of the room.

We began looking at some of the items, but I felt creeped out because these men were staring at us. So I decided to go on high alert while Sarah looked at the stuff they had there.

A man got up stood beside her and pretended to also be looking at things and I just stepped back so I could keep a good eye on him.

I selected what I came to get (I knew what I wanted because I saw it on their website before our trip) and suggested to Sarah we leave.

I was never happier to exit a place.
