Marsha's Musings: Don't Be Fooled (2 Peter 1:3-4 KJV)

    

    

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:3-4 KJV)

Don't ever let someone tell you that in order to have fullness of eternal life you must belong to their church. Don't let them tell you that you must have and believe in their religion's book in addition to the Bible or you are somehow missing out on something important. Don't let anyone tell you that you must go confess to the priest to have your sins forgiven or that baptism is necessary for God to save you.  It's all bunk.

As believers in Jesus Christ, God's divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue!  All things!!!  We don't need anything else but the knowledge of God as revealed in the Bible.  Nothing else can save or gain us any merit or make us godly except the power of God and the knowledge of Jesus Christ.  Don't be fooled by the counterfeits!
