And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. (1 Peter 5:4 KJV)
Yesterday Peter talked about the job of the pastor. His job is to feed the flock willingly and not lord his authority over them.
Today's verse shows what reward faithful pastor's will recieve. Sadly, there are many pastor's today who will be sorely disappointed on that day, because they did not feed the flock but instead spent their time in marketing strategies, watering down their sermons, and being purpose driven to bring in the unsaved. They did not have time to tend the flock because they were too busy trying to please and attract the goats.
