Marsha's Musings: Qualities to Have In Trials (James 1:19-21 NKJV)

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. (James 1:19-21 NKJV)

Swift to hear
Slow to speak
Slow to wrath
Lay aside filthiness
Lay aside wickedness
Receive the word with meekness

In my present trial, I need to listen more than I speak. I need to be careful of wrath, filthiness and wickedness. I need to be sensitive to what God is telling me in His word.

It is interesting to note that wrath and meekness are complete opposites.
