Marsha's Musings: About Christ Jesus (Hebrews 1:3, 4 NKJV)

who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. (Hebrews 1:3, 4 NKJV)

From what I read here, Jesus is the glory and image of God.  Here is what He does:

1. Upholds all things by the word of His power

2. Purged our sins

3. Sits at the right hand of God

4. Is better than the angels having obtained a more excellent name.

It should give us great comfort knowing that He upholds all things by the power of His word and that He has purged our sins!  He alone is worthy!
