My Quiet Time:

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying— a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. (I Timothy 2:5-7 NKJV)

The Bible is clear.  There is only one God.  This flies in the face of many religions including Mormonism since they believe they can work to become gods themselves.

As man is God once was. As God is, man may become.~an LDS Prophet

There is one mediator between man and God, the Man Christ Jesus. This flies in the face of many other religions including Roman Catholism since they pray to Mary and other saints.

Fr Philip Heng S.J says:

Mary-Perfect Disciple: In todays Gospel, Jesus affirms the truth of His beloved Mother's deep and passsionate love and perfect obedience to His Father's will.  No one has been able to be as "perfect" a disciple as Mary. Let us continue to pray to Mary for the graces we need to be more like her in the living of our faith daily.
