Marsha's Musings: This Day

Today Sarah started her new job at the nursing home as a housekeeping.  She looked so bright and clean in her new pink scrubs.  I hope she had a good day.  She came home around 2:30 and had something to eat and then went back for the rest of her shift.  She seemed to be doing okay.

We had very hot weather today.  102 at noon.  I don't know what it was at the peak of the day.  I'm sitting outside now and it is around 97 degrees.

I'm watching a big ugly spider and a praying mantis a foot or two from me.  Eeew.  I spiders!  Praying mantis' are fascinating but you don't want to make them mad at you.  They will attack.  We learned that by experience once.

Today I spend a bunch of time working on the homeschool yearbook.  That is time consuming, tedious work.  Our deadline is coming up in a just week or so and I'm not sure we are going to be ready.  I'm going to try to put in at least an hour a day here for a while (except for Friday) and see how much I can do.

Friday I take my youngest (17) to Tri Cities to meet up with friends from Tillamook, OR.  He will go with them and spend the week end with them and then they will take him to camp next week.  After camp he will come home for two days and then pack up and go back to camp for another week.  My boy is growing up.

He will be missed by all of us.  Our DJ will really miss his walks.  Poor little guy.  He looks so forward to his walks.  I guess I will have  to try to get him out each day if it isn't too hot to do so.

DJ got a bath today and wasn't too happy about it.  He went crazy afterward.

Sarah will be home from work soon so I think I will wind this up and go in the house.
