Lessons from the Decorah Eagles: Refuge Under His Wings

Psalm 91:4
He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

It was a cold, wet, snowy day for the eagle family.  Mom and Dad Eagle were both cold and wet, but I captured this picture of one of them with wings spread out to cover the babies.  The babies were glad to take refuge from the cold under the parent's feathers.

This is a wonderful picture of what the verse above says.  Of course we know that God doesn't have wings and feathers.  This is a metaphor to show us God's protection over us and how we can take refuge in Him.  What a wonderful place of security!
