Just finished reading Genesis and the last chapter has this verse:
Genesis 50:19 But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? 20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. 21 So do not fear; I will provide for you and your little ones.”
It is difficult when in trying circumstances to see God's hand in it, to project into the future and know that God has a purpose in it when all we see at the time is the difficulty of what is surrounding us. But calls us to not look at what is presently troubling us and instead to look to Him, trusting that He has a good purpose to bring about through whatever trial we are facing at the moment.
