Lessons from the Decorah Eagles: We Need Each Other

Ecclesiastes 4:9,11
Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.
Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone?

This is another picture of what I saw the day the eagle family had to endure the storm.  Even the eagles understand that two are better than one and that they can keep each other warm in the storm. It was heartwarming and heart wrenching at the same time to observe these eagles during this time.

The Apostle Paul talks about how Christians as the body of Christ can't say we don't need each other.

For in fact the body is not one member but many. If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body?  If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?  But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. (1 Corinthians 12:14-18)

We need each other.  God has put us in the body of Christ so that we can help meet each other's needs.  We can use the eagles as examples to us of how we can help others in need of encouragement and mutual support.
