Hebrews 13:20-21 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenent, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
It struck me today, as I read this, that God equips us with everything good that we may do his will.
Some in the body of Christ have disabilities of one sort or another. Some have less than ideal family situations. Others have experienced some sort of adversity in their lives.
These things all seem to us to be bad things that interfere with our lives. But wait, God equips us with everything good! These hard, difficult situations and circumstances just may be what God has given us to equip us to serve Him in our own unique way.
Take a look at Joni Eareckson-Tada. Paralyzed from the neck down, but her life has blessed many. Nick Vujicic is another example. He was born without arms and legs but God has equipped him in this way so that he can effectively serve Him and encourage others.
What are your limitations? What are your circumstances? They just may be the platform for you to share Christ with others.
