Rick read a headline yesterday where some people apparently are not being very patient for the coming of the Lord. They have put up billboards proclaiming that the Lord will return on May 21rst this year. I guess they decided to try to Cockroach Deadline Delivery Method that we saw on the Cosby Show some years ago.
Perhaps they have not read their Bible clear through. It says plainly that no man knows the time or day when the Lord will return. It will be like a thief in the night.
1Thess. 5:2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
2Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
So it's not our job to set dates on the Lord's return. It's our job to be patient while we wait for Him to return and to tell others the Good News of the Gospel so they can also be ready for His return.

You reference Psalm 82:6 to prove we will be gods at the resurrection. Here is the verse in context. God judges the "gods" and asks them how long they will judge unjustly. If we were to be gods in the sense of on equal footing with Him, why would he be judging us and asking how long will judge unjustly? Obviously the word gods refers to those who are in ruling positions on earth, not anyone who has become a god. Verse six is said in sarcasm. The very next verse He says, "you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes." Hardly, a reference to someone who has attained godhood.
Psalm 82:1 God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods.
2 How long will you judge unjustly, And show partiality to the wicked? Selah
3 Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.
5 They do not know, nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are unstable.
6 ¶ I said, "You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.
7 But you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes."
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; For You shall inherit all nations.
