The Israelites were not allowed to enter the Promised Land until all of that generation that had wandered in the wilderness had died. Why? It says here because of unbelief.
I've read the book of Exodus numerous times and what I find there that was so displeasing to God was their murmuring and complaining at every turn. So the take home lesson I see here is that murmuring and complaining are equal to unbelief. Ouch! Complaining is a sin that I am so often guilty of.
