Remodel Update 2/4 Sitting high & dry. Remodel Update 2/4

Water is still off while I write this.  Why is it that when the water gets shut off, I suddenly "feel the urge"?  Well, the water has been off for more than an hour now.  He had to make a run to the store for a part because he had the wrong size.  Well, he came back and went to install the new part and found he still had the wrong size.  He said he took it out of the bin that was labeled for the right size...someone put the wrong size in that bin.  So here we sit high and dry.  I just hope I won't be wet by the time the water is turned back on.  Ha!

The shower fixtures are getting installed today. The toilet has been seated.  The closet doors put back up.  The shower will be recaulked in some areas today.  Patching around the windows, and parts of the walls so Rick and I can paint.

The towel rods are going to be installed today.  New door knob.  Robe hook installed by the shower.  Shower curtain rod will be put up.

Rick and I need to go to the floor place and pick out the color we want for the rubber kickplate that will be installed all around the base of the wall where the carpet used to run up the side of the wall.

The transition between carpet and tile needs to be put in. (there seems to be a lack of communication there. Constractor said his guy will install that but his guy is saying the floor guy should install it. So we'll see who wins out on that when the contractor sees it isn't done.  Ha, ha!)  I  know it will get done because the contractor is pretty picky.

We discovered today that in all probability the downstairs fan is not exhausted outside but instead between the upstairs floor and the down stairs ceiling.  The builder said he could feel air blowing up in his face when he was working on the toilet flange.  It was coming up between the toilet pipe and the floor while the fan downstairs was running.

I can see the original builders took a lot of short cuts on the is place when they built it.  Lots of strange "surprises" have been uncovered.
