2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
Godly sorrow is being grieved that you have sinned against a holy God.
Worldly sorrow is being sorry for what you did because you got caught or inconvinienced in some way.
