Sadie Struiksma is Home with Her Lord

I found out tonight through email that a dear Saint of God has gone home to be with her Lord recently.  Sadie Struiksma was dear lady who attended the church I went to as a teen-ager and young adult.  I was good friends with her children.  She was a sweet, kind lady who was soft spoken, always had a smile for you and was always interested in how you were doing.  She was a Dutch lady who knew the old fashioned Dutch ways of hospitality.

She and her husband raised five children.  They are all adults with their own families now.  Some of them have married children and even grandchildren now.  All of her children have that same kind way about them.  They are all very friendly, genuinely interested in you and know how to be hospitable.  She trained them well.

In her later years she began to go down hill with Alzheimer’s disease.  Now she is healed of her troubles, in perfect health and in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Thank you, Sadie for gracing us with your kind and gentle ways.
