1:00AM Monday Morning...

What words of wisdom do I have at this wee hour of the morning?  Im afraid I do not have much as my brain is about fried from all this night time waking.

The sermon at church yesterday was good.  It was from John 10:22 to the end of the chapter.  Jesus is accused of blasphemy again by the Jewish leaders.  When he says he is the Son of God, they know he means he is equal with God, the same as saying he is God.  That is why they pick up stones to kill him.  Otherwise there would be no reason for their anger.

Jesus message brings division again. Some believed on him and others grew angry with him and hated him.  Everywhere in the book of John we see the message that Jesus brings causing division between people, not peace.  His message brings personal peace to those who believe on him.  Peace in their hearts in knowing that they are right with God, but not always peace between them and their fellowman or families.

There are those who think that all religions should be able to just join together as one big happy family and live in perfect peace and harmony.  I believe that as Christians we can be peaceful and peace loving people.  We are commanded to love our neighbor as ourselves.  But if we are to live our faith and obey Jesus command to go into all the world and preach the Gospel, that means we have to speak the truth in love~ the truth that Jesus spoke in the Bible.

The truth that Jesus spoke in the Bible divides the sheep from the goats.  It is not well received. Those who are angered by it will accuse us of many things.  Intolerance will be one of them.

You see, for all religions to join together and be at peace with each other necessarily means that some must do it at the expense of Biblical doctrine.  There are some afoot today who think they can join hands with other religions for the common good But they do it at the expense of truth, for the first time they try to speak the truth of the Bible to those they are joining up with, they will be put in their place.  Its just a hard cold fact they will have to learn.  Sad, but true.
