Oh, Lord, I am reaching a point of overwhelm right now. You know all the things I have on my mind that need to be done and You know how little energy I have. You also know how easily distracted I am. Lord, I set out to do one task and end up working on something else. And then there are the distractions that can’t be helped, like having to stop in the middle of a task to make meals or run a child somewhere or do an errand that can’t wait. Sometimes, Lord, I feel like I am on a hamster wheel, running and running but making no progress.
You know how badly I want and need to get the school stuff done up in the next two weeks so I can take a true school break during the month of August. Help me Lord to be more focused on this task.
Lord, please protect me from the discouragement that comes from having too many things to do and not enough time or energy to do them all. Help me to break things down into priorities and to eliminate those things that are not necessary at this time. Help me Lord to pace myself so that I can be more effective in the tasks that You have given me to do.
I love you Lord. I want to be an effective servant for you in the roles that you have placed me in. In Jesus Name, Amen.
