From "The Joy of Fearing God" by Jerry Bridges, Chapter 8

 Here are some highlights I came across in Chapter 8 of this book.  I was reading it for our lady's book study.

•  we're responsible to grow in fearing God
• "Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name." Ps. 86:11b
• After prayer...regular, consistent exposure of our minds & hearts to His Word...invovles reading it, hearing it taught & studying it for ourselves
• These questions are helpful to ask as we hear God's Word taught:   Who are you, Lord?  What shall I do, Lord?     

I have really enjoyed reading this book.  It is very challenging.
