We have been using Switched On School House Language Arts for my son. However, when they get into grammar he has a hard time with it. It is tedious and frustrating.
So I ordered this book along with the companion book that I will post in the next post. I decided that I will not assign any of the grammar lessons in Switched On School House next year, but will instead have him work through this.
I have started doing the lessons myself just to get a feel for how they are. I think this will work much better for him. Each lesson concentrates on one thing. He works better this way. When lesson is filled with multiple concepts it gets messy and confusing. This looks to be a good fix for next year's grammar and sentence structure.
Please see the post above for the companion workbook that goes with this.
