My sleep has been worse since we came here. I had finally managed to get 5 hours of sleep in a row the night before we left, but now I am back down to 2 or 3 hours in a row and restless sleep beyond that. But God has been gracious to give me the energy I need for each day. Since I was able to get 5 hours in a row at home before we came, it gives me hope for when we return home that maybe I'll be able to get back to that.
Christmas Day was fun. We woke up to a white Christmas! We spent part of the day at my sister's place and had dinner with her. It was a huge feast. Extremely tasty. My nephew, Jon and his two kids showed up around 5pm and we enjoyed some fun time with them as well until Lucas got hit suddenly with the stomach flu. Then the whole place erupted in mayhem for about half an hour. Four of us adults sprang into action really quick. I will spare you all the details. :-)
We look forward to attending church with Mom and Dad tomorrow. We have not visited their church in several years. They now have a permanent pastor that they like very much. We are curious to hear him preach. My dad is going to sing "O Holy Night" in church tomorrow, and I think David and Holly and Dan may be planning to sing a special number as well. It should be a great day.
