Marsha's Musings: Stand Alone Fire Pit

We decided to order small stand alone fire pit for my husband for his upcoming birthday in October. It’s not a surprise he is helping to order it! J He called the fire dept. to ask if we can use it even during a burning ban. Their answer amused me.

We can use it during a burning ban under three conditions:

1. If we are cooking food with it. He said we are safe if we have a hot dog on a stick! J

2. If we are using it for a religious observance. I guess we can put feathers in our hair and dance around it.

3. If we are using it for warmth.

So we are looking forward to spending some time around the fire late this Fall after dark. I look forward to some fun family time.
