Frugal Friday Tips!

It's Frugal Friday!
If you would like some frugal tips click on the icon above. It will take you to a website dedicated to Frugal Tips.
Getting Cheap Books!
When I go to the book store, if I see a book I would really like to have, I rarely buy it on the spot. Instead I come home and go to http://www.half.ebay.com/
I can usually find the book I want for a lot less then full price even with shipping and handling included! It may be a used book or it may be "like new". I've ordered some that for all practical purposes were new but were sold as used.
Even better, use your public library for books that you want to read but don't necessarily need to keep on your shelf for later reference. Check with your library and see if they cooperate with other libraries to bring in books you want to read but they don't have at your local library. Our library is connected via internet to about ten different libraries including public school libraries. We can order via the internet the books we want, have them delivered to our local library where we can pick them up. It saves me gas, time and money on books I want to read but don't want to buy!

Those are good tips!

The demolition derby was fun to watch, but a little long getting started and EXTREMELY loud! I had to cover both my ears, and our son doesn't want to go again because of the noise. If we go next year maybe we'll try and get him ear plugs. Lol!
