One of the best tools I have found for setting up homeschool lessons plans is Homeschool Tracker. I would be lost without this software program. After I have entered all the information, each school day or week I can print off an assignment list for my children. Lately, I have gone to printing off weekly lists. This saves time and my kids can work ahead if they choose too.
It prints grade reports, time spent reports, chore lists, assignment lists, high school transcripts and much more.
I also enter their chores in this program and print off a weekly chore list for each of them. It can be used as a reminder or to do list for me if I enter myself as a student, but I have my own planner book for my chores, so I don't use it like this except for occasional reminders.
I also use this program to keep track of my children's voluteer work time and reading lists.
If we end up needing to reschedule school work, it is easy to do. No more erasing and rewriting assignments in the assignment book multiple times when schedules go awry!
You can download a free basic version of this program that works well if you have elementary age children. If you have high school children and want to do high school transcripts I'd recommend buying the full version. It is only $49. It is well worth the money spent. There is also a user forum where you can converse with other users and get support.
Check it out...you might find it is just what you need!.
