Last night we had the opportunity to get a tour of a life-size to scale replica of the Mosaic Tabernacle. It was very good. I had already known some of the symbolism that went into the Tabernacle and how it foreshadowed Christ and His work on the cross, but I wasn't aware of all the significance. This really will help me to understand better the book of Hebrews and some of the things talked about in the New Testament. So much in the New Testament refers back to things in the Old Testament. Sometimes I think churches fail to spend enough time examining things in the Old Testament because they think it is irrelevant to us today. After all, that was only a shadow and now we have the reality. But as you study the New Testament, if you don't know your Old Testament then many things said in the New won't make much sense. We need a balance between the two.
I think this project is very well done, very educational and will get you excited about reading more of the Old Testament and you'll never read the New Testament the same again. It is amazing to see the whole plan of salvation through the symbolism of the wilderness tabernacle.
Stay tuned because in future posts I will be posting a series of 6 posts on the Tabernacle and it's furniture. I think you'll find it fascinating.

Sounds like a wonderful ministry to open the eyes of our hearts to understanding the word of God deeper yet!
