I was so impressed by the fact that in the letter Melisa sent us (see previous post) that she was rejoicing that she was turning 13 and that this was a gift from God!
How often do I as an adult, dread another birthday because I know it means I am getting older. We should think like this child thinks. Each birthday is a gift from God and be thankful that He has given us yet another year to honor and glorify Him. We need to look forward to our next birthday knowing that in between, if God wills, we will have 365 more days to apply our hearts unto wisdom in His Word.
Psalm 90:12 ¶ So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.(KJV)
