The Gift of Pain

What Pain Can Do
It can teach me patience
It can teach me endurance
It can bring me closer to God
It can strengthen my courage
It can give me empathy for others
It can teach me to trust God more
It can teach me what my limits are
It can teach me to take it one day at a time
It can teach me to find beauty in the small things
It can teach me to humbly ask for and accept help when I need it
It can teach me to learn to be thankful even when I don't feel like it
It can teach me to encourage others instead of feeling sorry for myself
It can give me more love and appreciation for my husband and family

What Pain Cannot Do
It can never take God's presence from me
It can never remove God's grace from me
It can never separate me from God's love
It can never take away my future home in Heaven
It can never separate me from the strength that God can give
It can never take away God's forgiveness of my sins & my salvation in Jesus
